Why You May Not Be Able to Get Proretinize Much Longer
Margaret almost missed her chance entirely.
When she first tried to order Proretinize last fall, she encountered the same frustrating message that thousands of seniors have seen: "Temporarily Out of Stock."
The reason?
Proretinize contains rare, premium ingredients that simply can't be mass-produced like typical drugstore supplements.
Take saffron, for instance.
Each bottle of Proretinize requires saffron worth more than its weight in gold — and it can only be hand-harvested from delicate crocus flowers in Kashmir for just a few weeks each year.
When the harvest is poor, production stops completely.
The same problem affects maqui berries from Chile's remote Patagonian mountains.
These antioxidant-rich superfruits grow wild in harsh conditions, and local indigenous communities can only gather them during a brief seasonal window.
Bad weather or political unrest can shut down the supply chain for months.
Here's what most people don't know: The manufacturer of Proretinize has been forced to limit production to just 2,000 bottles per month to ensure quality and potency remain at therapeutic levels.
"We get calls every day from seniors begging us to put them on a waiting list," says Dr. Michael Harrison, the formulator behind Proretinize.
"It breaks my heart, but we refuse to compromise on quality just to meet demand. These people's vision depends on getting the real thing."
Last month, a batch of counterfeit "Proretinize" appeared online with none of the active ingredients.
The FDA shut it down within weeks, but not before hundreds of seniors wasted their money on worthless pills.
Margaret got lucky. She happened to call during a brief restocking window and secured one of the last bottles in that production run.
"I almost gave up after being told 'out of stock' three times," Margaret admits.
"Thank God my daughter convinced me to keep trying. I shudder to think where my vision would be today if I hadn't gotten through."
Currently, Proretinize is available — but industry insiders warn this could change at any moment.
A single supply disruption could mean a 6-month shortage, just like what happened during the pandemic with other specialty supplements.
If you're reading this and Proretinize is available, don't assume it will be tomorrow.
